Notice on Advanced Training Program Applications (for Personnel from outside the Chinese mainland)
(Long-term Valid)
I. Application Requirements
1. Hold foreign nationality, or Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan identity;
2. Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a medicine-related field (e.g., Clinical Medicine, Basic Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Nursing, Life Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) awarded by a recognized domestic or overseas institution;
3. Applicants for clinical training must hold a valid medical license in their home country or the Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan region. Priority will be given to those with relevant clinical work experience in the intended training field (with at least 2 years preferred);
4. Possess basic communication skills in Chinese or English;
5. Age should generally not exceed 50 years old. Exceptions may be made for experts in special fields or those with high academic influence.
II. Duration of Training
The training period is generally from 2 weeks to 1 year. Extensions may be applied for upon completion of the initial period, but the total duration shall not exceed 1 year.
- Long-term Trainees: Training duration is over 3 months, primarily engaged in clinical observation or research work, with a maximum period not exceeding 1 year.
- Short-term Trainees: Training duration is under 3 months, primarily engaged in clinical observation or short-term research exchange.
III. Application Process
1. Prepare electronic application materials
- The attached Advanced Training Application Form (for Personnel from outside the Chinese mainland);
- Copy of passport with visa page / Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents / Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents;
- Medical/Nursing Personnel: Medical/Nursing degree/diploma certificate, medical license, and proof of work experience (requiring notarization and authentication by Chinese Embassy/Consulate);
- Researchers: Relevant professional degree/diploma certificate and proof of work experience (requiring notarization and authentication by Chinese Embassy/Consulate);
- Students: Certificate of Enrollment/Student Status (requiring notarization and authentication by Chinese Embassy/Consulate);
- Training Plan (including objectives, content, and duration);
- Two recommendation letters from medical experts;
- Proof of Chinese or English language proficiency for applicants from non-English speaking countries (exempt for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan applicants);
- Certificate of No Criminal Record and Health Examination Report (if required).
2. Application Timeline: Submit materials via email to international@gzzoc.com at least 3 months prior to the intended start date.
3. Review and Admission: After initial review by the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, applications will be submitted to relevant departments for joint review. Upon successful review of materials, the center’s expert panel will review and approve the application training. An Admission Notice will be issued to qualified applicants.
4. Visa Application: Foreign applicants should apply for a Chinese visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in their home country using the Admission Notice. Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan applicants should use the Admission Notice to apply for entry procedures to the mainland at designated public security authorities.
5. Training Registration: Admitted applicants must register via the center’s training system. The online registration URL will be detailed in the Admission Notice.
IV. Fee Structure
Long-term Trainees: Application Fee: RMB 800; Tuition: RMB 5,000 per month; Insurance: Approx. RMB 150 per month (actual amount subject to prevailing rates at time of payment). Other expenses (accommodation, meals, transportation, medical fees, etc.) are self-covered.
Short-term Trainees: Application Fee: RMB 800; Tuition: RMB 400 per day (charged per workday only); Insurance: Approx. RMB 150 per month (actual amount subject to prevailing rates at time of payment). Other expenses (accommodation, meals, transportation, medical fees, etc.) are self-covered.
Accommodation: The center does not provide accommodation. Trainees must rent accommodation off-campus.

关于境外人员申请进修和培训的通知
(长期有效)
一、申请条件
1、具有外国国籍或港澳台籍身份;
2、持有国内或境外正规院校颁发的医学相关专业(临床医学、基础医学、药学、公共卫生、护理学、生命科学、人工智能、大数据以及生物医学工程等)本科以上学历;
3、申请临床进修者,须已在本国或港澳台地区取得合法行医资格,具备与进修方向相关的临床工作经验(原则上不少于2年)者优先;
4、具备基本中文或英文沟通能力;
5、年龄原则上不超过50周岁,特殊领域或高学术影响力专家可适当放宽。
二、进修期限
进修期限一般为2周至1年,申请进修时长期满后可申请延期,总时长不超过1年。
- 长期进修生:进修时长为3个月以上,以从事临床见习或科研工作为主,最长不超过1年。
- 短期进修生:进修时长为3个月以下,以临床见习或科研短期交流为主。
三、申请流程
1、准备申请材料电子版:
- 《中山眼科中心境外人员进修申请表》(见附件)
- 护照及签证页/港澳居民来往内地通行证/台湾居民来往大陆通行证复印件;
- 医护人员:需提交医学学历或护理学学历学位证书、行医资格证明及工作经历证明(需公证及中国使领馆认证);
- 研究人员:需提交相关专业学历学位证书及工作经历证明(需公证及中国使领馆认证);
- 在读学生:需提交在读证明(需公证及中国使领馆认证);
- 进修计划书(含目标、内容及期限);
- 两名医学专家的推荐信;
- 非英语国家的申请者需提供中文或英文语言能力证明(港澳台籍申请人可免);
- 无犯罪记录证明及健康体检报告(如需)。
2、申请时间:需提前至少3个月提交材料至邮箱international@gzzoc.com
3、审核与录取:由外事科通过初审后,报相关部门审查会签。申请材料审查无误后由院内专家评审组审批进修资格,确认进修资格者发放《中山大学中山眼科中心国际/港澳台进修培训录取通知书》。
4、签证办理:外籍申请人凭录取通知书向中国驻外使领馆申请来华签证,港澳台籍申请人凭录取通知书到公安机关指定机构办理赴内地/大陆手续;
5、进修办理:申请人填报中心进修系统,在线填报网址详见录取通知书。
四、收费标准
1、长期进修生:申请费800元,学费5000元/月,保险费约150元/月(实际缴费金额以缴纳时的实时执行标准为准),其他费用自理(住宿费、餐费、交通费、医疗费等)。
2、短期进修生:申请费800元,学费400元/天(按工作日计算),保险费约150元/月(实际缴费金额以缴纳时的实时执行标准为准),其他费用自理(住宿费、餐费、交通费、医疗费等)。
3、进修生不解决住宿,须自行在外租房。
