On April 28, 2025, the Seventh Membership Congress of the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists (CAYST) convened in Beijing, attended by over 300 delegates. The congress reviewed and approved the association's work report, the revised CAYST Charter, and elected a new Council and Supervisory Board. Following this, the first plenary meetings of the Seventh Council and the First Supervisory Board were held, where the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary-General, and other leadership positions were elected. Professor Lin Haotian, Director of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC) at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, was elected Vice President of the Seventh Council of CAYST.
